Curtis Jere (1910-2008), also known as Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels, was an American collaborative sculpture team consisting of Curtis "Curt" Freiler (1910-2013) and Jerry Fels (1917-2007). The duo worked together from the 1950s to the 1980s, creating sculptural works that were known for their unique blend of abstract and representational elements. Curtis Jere's sculptures were often made from brass, copper, and other metals and incorporated a variety of forms, textures, and colors. Their works were highly sought after by collectors and are now considered iconic examples of mid-century modern design. While Curtis Jere did not achieve the same level of individual recognition as some other sculptors of the era, their collaborative work remains highly regarded and influential to this day.
