Schulim Krimper, 1893-1971, Desk (circa 1955), Black Bean, the shaped rectangular glass top above a stylised linear frame and dual brass-capped supports united by a removable slatted shelf, above a single pedestal pivoting on a copper cylinder, with four drawers to one side and an opposing single open shelf, the top and sides with reeded panels, signed in script to the top of the front edge of the second drawer 'S. Krimper, 74.80 in. long, 29.72 in. high, 29.92 in. deep. Provenance: Raoul and Ester Kaplan, Melbourne. Private Collection, Melbourne, by descent from the above.
