A German gilt-metal and enamelled singing-bird box attributed to Karl Griesbaum, the bird with multi-coloured plumage, beak, wings, tail and body movements concealed in a decoratively enamelled case painted with figures and landscape vignettes framed by engraved borders. With bird shaped key, the case base stamped 'EB' for Emil Brenk and 'Metall'. 4.06 in. x 2.64 in. x 2.05 in.
