A Japanese Two-Panel screen, by Yuge Koho, Taisho period, featuring a bold and dramatic design of an eagle atop a huge pine branch with details on the pine and the eagle in well executed relief work. Yuge Koho was a pupil of the famous painter Domoto Insho, who won the Imperial Art Academy prize in 1925, and received an Imperial order of cultural Merit in 1965.
