Stone hafted axe, Northern Territory, carved stone, bent wood, spinifex resin and natural pigments (with custom stand) a hafted hatchet made with an edge ground stone axe head. It is secured with resin to a handle made from a single piece of wood bent around head. The handle is coated with natural pigment of red ochre. Length 16.14 in. x 4.13 in.
