A Japanese Rimpa Kakejiku scroll by Takaya Koho (1870-), Taisho period (1912-1926), painted in colours, gofun and ink on silk, a lone heron rests with one leg on a willow branch, trails of leaves hanging from above. Mounted on sumptuous brocade decorated with stylised clouds and signed and sealed Koho. Together with tomobako (original signed Japanese wooden box). Painting 45.87 in. high, 13.98 in. wide. Scroll 77.17 in. high, 19.49 in. wide
