A large Chinese blue and white jar and cover, the ovoid jar and cover with a dog finial, with shaped reserved of raised floral sprays growing on rocky formations, between successive borders of ruyi and scrolls to the shoulder and base, the cover with key fret to the rim, unmarked. Height 16.93 in.
- Oviform /ovoid - The outline loosely resembling the shape of an egg.
- Finial - An architectural decoration, found on the upper parts of of an object. On furniture they are usually found on pediments, canopies and shelf supports.
