An impressive silver and turquoise Navajo style squash blossom necklace, the Persian turquoise cabochons bezel set in silver mounts, with side mounted silver 'petals', and strung between multiple silver beads. The horseshoe shaped solid silver pendant at the base of the necklace is called the Naja. Hook and eye clasp. (Although the squash blossom necklaces were not worn for specific ceremonies, the Naja was still thought to protect the wearers from evil spirits, while the turquoise itself was also believed to bring strength and other positive properties), length 26.38 in.
