A German Imperial commemorative Bismarck plaque, 19th century, the rectangular cast iron relief plaque, depicting Otto Von Bismarck on horseback as St George slaying the dragon, in oval reserve surrounded by a scrolling banner inscribed 'Unter Funf Konigen Unter Drei Kaisern' (under five Kings and under three Emperors), mounted on a wooden block base to use as a paperweight, dated 'Friedrichsruh, 28 Aug (18)97', stamped and further inscribed in German to the underside. Length 5.51 in., width 3.54 in.
