An early Manatunga travel rug with a Tukutuku pattern, a Roslyn Dunedin textiles, New Zealand early Manatunga wool travel rug, with a tukutuku panel pattern in white, magenta, and black, the original label 'Maori for Keepsake' 'Wahine' label attached. Manatunga travel rugs were produced by Mosgiel woollens Ltd in Dunedin which was opened in 1871. The mill was a significant employer for the region and lasted until the end of the 20th century when it closed. 73.23 in. x 71.65 in.
