Queen's South Africa Medal named to H. Conaghan, HMS Sybille
Royal Navy: the Queen's South Africa medal; named to H. Conaghan, Sto: H.M.S. Sybille. The Sybille was a 2nd Class twin screw cruiser of 3,400 tons and 7,000-9000 Hp. She served briefly in January 1901, commanded by Captain H P Williams. She was wrecked near Lambert's bay, shortly after arrival, on 16 January 1901
