Austro-Hungarian gilt gem set watch chatelaine, unmarked, in gilt metal, the hook plate set with a hand painted porcelain plaque within a double beaded turquoise border, suspending two studded belt form supports above cylindrical spacer bar, featuring a watch movement below with pink tourmaline bezel border, and further decorated with many pave set turquoise cabochons, the verso opening via hinge to reveal unmarked inner manual wind clock movement, total drop 6.30 in., width 2.36 in. published: "How the watch was worn, a fashion for 500 Years', by Genevieve Cummins, colour plate 162 and 163, page 70.
